Exton, PA
This kitchen renovation in Exton proves that a dramatic transformation doesn’t always require changing the layout. The existing footprint worked beautifully for the homeowners, so rather than relocating walls or plumbing, we focused on what truly defines a space: cabinetry, finishes, and thoughtful design details. By maintaining the existing layout, this project minimized construction time while maximizing aesthetic impact. It’s a great example of how strategic material and finish selections can completely transform a kitchen without the need for a full reconfiguration.
The original kitchen featured dark wood cabinetry paired with nickel fixtures. While functional, the overall look felt heavy and dated.
To brighten and modernize the space, we introduced:
Light stain oak cabinetry for warmth and natural texture
Honey bronze hardware to add depth and richness
A stunning new countertop that ties the entire design together
The result is a kitchen that feels open, inviting, and timeless, all within the same footprint.
The kitchen island serves as the central gathering space, so we gave it special attention. A thicker countertop profile was selected to give the island greater visual presence and architectural weight. This subtle design choice creates a more custom feel and helps anchor the entire room. Perfect for entertaining, meal prep, or everyday living.
To add visual interest without clutter, we incorporated reeded glass inserts in select upper cabinets. Reeded (obscure) glass provides texture and dimension while softly concealing everyday items. It’s an ideal solution for homeowners who want a layered, custom look without fully exposing cabinet contents.
